Kitchen Garden Farm is hiring harvest and kitchen crew for spring 2025. Our farm is run by Max, Lilly, and a tight-knit crew of around 20 passionate young farmers.
We grow high-quality organic specialty vegetables for wholesale to stores, restaurants, and farms throughout the northeast region. We also produce award-winning sriracha, salsa, and sauces from ingredients grown on the farm. We emphasize a positive and supportive community among our employees and we take time during every work day to share a meal together and enjoy the fruits of our labor. We are looking for a few high-quality individuals to fill positions for 2025.
We are hiring harvest crew members to start in May and work full time through Thanksgiving, with the possibility of part time winter work if making a multi-season commitment. We are looking for highly energetic, motivated and passionate individuals who enjoy working outside and want to do the work necessary to provide our community with high quality organic vegetables.
Responsibilities include harvesting, washing/packing produce, weeding and other field tasks. Previous farm experience is preferred but not required. Valid driver’s license, strong attention to detail, safe handling of equipment, ability to work independently and on a team, and eagerness to learn are all essential. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work with speed, endurance, and good cheer.
Hours are generally 7am-5pm M-F and 7am-12pm one Saturday a Month, an average of 40-50 hours per week during peak season. Part time schedules (3-4 days/week plus 1 Sat per month) will also be considered. Working Monday, Tuesday and Friday is required.
Starting wage is $17/hour plus overtime > 40 hours/week, farm lunch, and unlimited organic vegetables.
Hiring ideally an experienced tractor operator to join our farm’s Production Crew. Must be willing to work full time >40 hours/week April through Oct/Nov. Hours are generally 7am-5pm M-F (plus 7am-noon every other Saturday May-Oct), an average of 45-50 hours per week in peak season. Year-round work possible for multi-year commitment.
Responsibilities include greenhouse seeding, tillage, transplanting, cultivation, hand weeding, irrigation, pest and fertility management, vehicle and equipment maintenance, bulk harvest, and other farm tasks. We are looking for highly energetic, motivated and passionate individuals who want to join our farm’s core team to produce high quality organic vegetables.
Minimum one year previous farm experience required, preferably including some tractor operation. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and have a valid driver’s license. Strong attention to detail, safe handling of equipment, ability to work independently and on a team, and eagerness to learn are all essential. On the job training provided. Must be willing to commit to the full 2025 season.
